My Two Favorite Trucks

2001 Toyota Tacoma
I often don't take a second look at trucks simply because they're gas hogs and they are very large and not very fast. Although all of that is true there are still a few trucks that I love to see tearing up the mud. My first favorite truck is the Toyota Tacoma because it is very reliable and four wheel drive. Besides that it is a very lightweight truck compared to others. In most models it has a 3.4 liter v6 producing 190 horsepower. It only weighs 3,877 pounds on the four wheel drive model which is not much more then most cars. All of these things make this a great mudding truck and make it perfect for climbing rocks and such.
2010 Ford Raptor
My second pick is the Ford Raptor mainly because it is a beast of  a truck and is absolutely beautiful. It comes equipped with almost everything you would need to go offroading right from the factory. It rides higher up so you don't need to put on a lift kit or anything. In the raptor there is a 6.2 liter v8 which also comes in the ford super duty it produces 411 horsepower. The 411 is quite a lot more then the toyotas although this truck weighs almost twice the tacoma. If I had to pick from one of these I would still go with the   tacoma because it is more reliable and can climb obstacles better.

The Nissan 240sx and My Incredible Passion For It

My love for the 1992 and 95 Nissan 240sx se has existed for quite sometime I actually wanted to buy one after a drunk driver wrecked my 93 civic. This car is simply awesome its great for drifting and is very affordable. The reason for the affordability on this car is because they are so old and you can get a used one with either a little rust or none at all. These days you could probably find a 92 240sx se for about $1500  with  a slight problem or two. The 95's are a whole other story since most people snatch them up first but you can usually find one for
1992 Nissan 240sx se
1995 Nissan 240sx se
about $2500 to $3000. I really prefer the earlier 90s 240sx since it has flip up headlights and it honestly just looks classic. The one great thing about this car is that its rear wheel drive but the best part is you can purchase a skyline engine also known as an rb26dett some other people like to go with an sr20 motor but I prefer the extra  displacement.
R34 RB26DETT
R32 RB26DETT

The engine and transmission cost abut $2,820 depending if you wanna go with an engine from an R32 or an R34. The R34 can cost up $8,000 its basically the same motor but the R34's have more aggressive camshafts and a prettier valve cover. The best part is that the rb26dett can make around 450 horsepower on stock internals that basically means you can just get a bigger turbo rather then rebuilding everything first. This car is mainly used for drifting since its rear wheel drive and very light. Drifting is basically sliding with forward momentum its almost like controlling being out of control. Its really a difficult process since your going sideways at high speeds while taking turns. Watch the videos below of drifting my favorite drifter is Tanner Foust hes also a really great rally racer but rally racing is another story for another day.

The Honda S2000 vs. The Mazda Miata

Since 1989 Mazda has produced there famous Miata which for many was just another little sports car. Although for some they saw it as an opportunity for a great race car. Over the years the MX-5 better known as the Miata has slowly gotten larger under the hood it started with a small 1.8 liter 4cylinder making around 133 bhp which isnt that bad for its weight of 2,350 lbs.
The MX-5 has recently gotten a beefier 2.0 liter with 170 bhp and a much better suspension system. This all was done to try and meet the high standards set by the Honda S2000.
Although the MX-5 has been improved quite a lot the S2000 has left a lot for Mazda to still improve on. The main advantages the Honda has are its 2.0 liter DOHC VTEC engine producing around 240bhp. Its only disadvantage is that its curb weight is about 400 pounds more then the miata. This would be a problem if the S2000 did not have such a massive lead over it in horsepower.

My favorite car is the 2002 Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R in its esteemed bayside blue paint job. The Skyline is my favorite car simply because it is elegant it stands for what other cars can just not hold up too. Its engine is rather small it’s an Rb26DET engine which if you didn’t know is a 2.6 liter straight 6 turbo engine producing around 276 horsepower. The amazing thing about the RB26DET engines and other RB series engines is that they can make up to 400 or more horsepower on stock internals. So rather than rebuilding the engine all you have to do to squeeze more power out of the car is get a bigger turbo. It’s also one of the quickest cars off the line because it is all wheel drive. The R34 is the predecessor to the R35 skyline which in my personal opinion has taken the man out of the car. Along with a lot of newer sports cars the R35 skyline has paddle shifter’s which means it has a dual clutch transmission. This is a good thing if you do not enjoy manually shifting and like to go fast and not drive. This transmission as well as the technology that is integrated into the R35 and its v6 is actually quite advanced and produces a lot more horsepower. The engine is actually a lot larger and is a whole different engine all together. The VR38DETT is a 3.8 liter twin turbo engine and it makes 545 hp. The reasoning behind disliking the R35 skyline consists purely because of its engine and how they revamped everything taking away the straight 6 and making it a twin turbo. The RB26DET can make almost unlimited amounts of power and can be tuned to make over a thousand horsepower. On the other hand the v6 VR38DETT can only make a little over stock with heavy modifications and will not let you go its full speed on the street. I truly believe the R34 is more of a tuners car where as the R35 is just a remake to satisfy the GT-R fans. Even Prince Motor Company would be disappointed to see they’re skyline stripped of its name and stuffed with a million computers. The RB series engine is just so amazing because it’s small displacement makes it somewhat fuel efficient, lighter which makes it more agile and grip the road better. All these reasons contribute to my reasoning behind liking the R34 over the R35 not to mention the R34 is just a classic.
